“I have volunteered with DYSL at the thrift store from the beginning in 2003 and saw it grow into a broader charity for kids helping kids with mental disabilities and all others. Volunteering had an enormous influence on me because of the kind and compassionate people at DYSL and the kind volunteers. I grew up DYSL! Their programs helped me a lot and I am very thankful to them. I have moved out of Tsawwassen, but still visit them whenever I can, because of my good memories.”

“The DYSL organization has been a continual source of support and encouragement for students. When they approached us regarding funding to each high school in Delta (7 of them), the students felt recognized and supported. The funding and hands-on support enhanced the students’ ability to create meaningful events, learn leadership skills and campaign experiences. None of the events would have been possible without the funding and support from DYSL. In each event, DYSL has been the foundation for students to realize their dreams to create meaningful events relevant to their causes and audiences. Their work as a partner encourages so many young people to tackle greater challenges to serve and positively influence our community.”
