Supporting South Delta youth between the ages of 10-24 in making
positive life choices.
We do this by providing:
- Funding to and promotion of the “youthinbc” chat
line and
phone line
- Individualized assistance to youth in areas of personal
growth, counselling on a one-to-one basis, vocational counselling,
physical assistance, mentoring and coaching
- Financial support for youth-initiated
programs
- Six“Spirit
Award” bursaries annually,
each in the amount of $500, for
graduates who have displayed personal accomplishment through
their high
school years, despite adversity and challenging circumstances
- Encourage both youth and adults to volunteer at our Discoveries Thrift
Store in
Tsawwassen, BC
The Delta Youth Support Line Society focuses on 10-24 year old youths
in
transition.
Our Board of Directors is comprised of professionals and interested
parties, who support, market, evaluate and troubleshoot matters
arising from our goals and our fundraising initiatives. We meet
monthly in Tsawwassen, one Friday per month. People can join
our Society for a
nominal fee, and we invite interested parties to consider serving
on the
Board, or by attending our Annual General Meeting.
